My name is Sarah, and I’m a young Eelam Tamil mother, born and raised in Italy, now living in Germany. In addition to being a midwife and a mother of two, I’ve always been an avid reader. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of holding a brand-new book, breathing in its scent, and escaping into a whole new world.
Like many others, I’m part of the second generation of the Tamil Diaspora, blessed with the opportunity to experience and embrace cultures and traditions that are often quite different from each other. We truly are ‘citizens of the world.’
Together with my partner on this adventure, Laxy, I’ve decided to embark on a journey to fulfill our life’s mission: preserving and passing on the richness and beauty of Tamil culture and language to future generations. But above all, we want to give our children what we missed out on during our own childhoods—beautiful, fun books that will help them discover and connect with their mother tongue.
‘Mudivili’ is our little dream, slowly coming to life. We hope it brings joy and excitement to everyone who shares it with us!
